If there is a place more magical than others in Ireland, it has to be county Kerry.
So I decided to spend 4 days on the other side of the island investigating new places in
the Dingle peninsula
with the help of Paul,Garvin a gentlemen farmer also bus driver. Philip and Sandra Fitzgibbons owner of the "Harbour house" in the Maharees peninsula took me for a ride to the Hog islands, but first of all, the locals; they are always keen to talk about their land
after dark in the pubs!
Hog Island. By boat only! |
Dunquin Pier. Famous in " Ryan's daughter" |
Castle Minard at sunset and wit a light fog. Paul took me there as it was late and have no idea of the existence of such place. |
Before taking Philip's powerboat to the Hog islands, a view of the Fahamore harbour. |
One of the beach used by David Lean in his film "Ryan's daughter" in Dunquin. |
Another beach at Bally Ferriter. |
The same beach. It was at the start of October, in the morning then a young mother left her young son to her parents and jump into the sea, in bikini! |
We were driving through Castle Gregory and a pack of those animals came on the same road. |
Tralee bay. |
The Lake Caum, near Castle Gregory. |
A beach near Dunquin. |
A view from the Conor pass, the highest in Ireland to go down to Brandon bay. |
Inch beach at sunset, when we arrived. We spent a lovely night in the Inch cottages, on the hillside. |
3 views of Inch beach. |
The fog filled the Dingle bay between the peninsula and the "Ring of Kerry" |
