La vie en rose.

A serie of 3 photos I did of Miss World Personal Trainer, Lesley-Ann Armstrong. A very pretty young lady with a real charm despite the perception you may have of her by this photos.  And I tried to make her the most feminine.

Why they should be only men in the fitness studios. Here is some of my customers who have follow some strict diets and have (some of them not yet!) achieved their dream.

Chaque année, la lune se trouve au plus prés de la Terre; les américains appellent cette phase "Big Fat Moon". Le mieux est de l'attendre quelque part avec vue sur la mer. La photo fut prise vers les 23hoo sur la cote Nord-Est d'Irlande, a la fin de la baie de Belfast.

 This is the section related to food and photos I did for some restaurants in Northern Ireland. Ce sont mes photos "alimentaires" comme disait M Galabru.

Food photos made for "The Sleepy Hollow" restaurant in Newtownabbey and "Pots of Pleasure in Ballyclare, both in Northern Ireland.

 It was a first for me; the meal were ready for customers and I have a few seconds only to arrange the disposition of the dish and to press slowly the shutter. The photos were taken on the tray under the heating lamps in the same, very kitchen. I wonder if the result would have been better in a studio with all the paraphernalia and adjustments.

El camino que tome hace ya años me hizo descubrir y sobretodo ver a cosas extra-ordinarias. No soy ni seré el único pero siempre creo que la manera de asimilar esos efectos es una educación  que te propina la Vida. A ti de saber utilizarla, aprovecharla sin nunca pasar de ella. A ti de ponerla en la columna del bien o del mal. Esta pagina es para las fotos y por supuesto los fotógrafos que me han conmovido a lo largo de 30 anos.

Le chemin que je pris il y a longtemps, me fit découvrir et surtout voir des choses extra-ordinaires. Je ne suis pas ni serai le seul mais j'ai toujours pensé que la manière d'assimiler ces effets est une éducation que nous enseigne la vie. C'est a chacun de l'utiliser, de la manipuler sans jamais l'oublier. C'est a chacun de la mettre dans la colonne du Bien ou du Mal.Cette page est donc pour les photos et bien sur les photographes qui m'ont bouleversé au long de ces 30 années.

The way I took years ago made me discover and above all, see things quite extra-ordinary. I am and I will not be the only one but I always thought that the way you absorb those effects is an education given by Life. It is up to you to use it and to manipulate it without forgot it. It is up to you to put them in the column of good or evil. This post is about photos and of course photographers who gave me an emotion during these 30 years.

                                     Ou est passé Mirza?

The former French Président Général Charles de Gaulle, 78, (C) surrounded by his wife Yvonne and his aide-de-camp François Flohic, walks somewhere in Ireland between 10 May and 19 June 1969 during his voluntary exile.There is a place in Galway where he stayed and also in the lovable village of Sneem,Co Kerry where he went to mass. There is a restaurant in Sneem with all the photos taken by a local. A treasure!

                                           Le Désespoir

Dorothea Lange, née le 26 mai 1895 Hoboken (États-Unis)  est une photographe américaine dont les travaux les plus connus ont été réalisés pendant la Grande Dépression, dans le cadre d'une mission confiée par la Farm Security Administration (FSA).
        Moins connu est son reportage sur les camps où sont regroupées de force et internées toutes les personnes d'origine japonaise, hommes, femmes, enfants après le bombardement de Pearl Harbor
 le 7 décembre 1941. Le but poursuivi alors par cette agence était de montrer que ces internés étaient traités avec humanité. Mais la photographe en tire au contraire un document accablant, qui sera d'ailleurs censuré par l'administration Roosevelt. Ces photographies ne sont publiées qu'en 2006, dans un livre consacré exclusivement au sujet, Impounded : Dorothea Lange and the censored images of Japanese American internment. 

 Dans la même logique il nous faudra donc attendre 65 ans pour voir des photos de Guantanamo!

Horst Faas (28 April 1933 – 10 May 2012) was a German photo-journalist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner.
  In 1962, Horst Faas became AP’s chief photographer for Southeast Asia, and was based in Saigon until 1974. His images of the Vietnam War won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1965.

 L'Horreur

Une sœur et son frère, photographie prise le 19 septembre 1941 par Heinrich Jöst, dans le ghetto de Varsovie.

 El hecho que haya sido un soldado alemán que haya tomado la foto es lo que me hace sentir horror mas que la hermana guardando el cadáver de su hermano . Por que la tomo?

   Le fait que ce soit un soldat allemand qui l'ai prise m'inspire bien plus d'horreur que la sœur gardant le cadavre de son frère. Pourquoi l'a t'il prise?

  The fact it is a German soldier who took this photo horrified me more than the sister keeping the corpse of her brother. Why did he take that photo?
